In Early March Undergraduate, Masters and PhD students together with University staff came together to deliver a series of activities related to different aspects of parasitology and drug discovery as part of Aberystwyth Universities commitment to British Science week. Over the course of 3 days over 2000 pupils from local primary and high schools visited the sports cage at Aberystwyth University’s Penglais campus to experience and take part in a vast array of science based activities from making their own slime, holding locally caught star fish to performing their own anthelmintic drug screens. These activities were a fantastic opportunity of scientists to showcase the very best science currently going on in Aberystwyth and hopefully enthuse the next generation of scientists.
