World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day 2025

Today is World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day, an opportunity to highlight the work being done to beat NTDs. As part of Aberystwyth University, members of the BCHC have been collaborating on world-leading research as part of the WORMVACS2.0 project, which seeks to better define immunity against worm infections and set up a helminth vaccine development pipeline.

This collaboration is a culmination of the efforts from multiple institutes and individuals, funded by Horizon Europe, the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). You can find out more about the members of the collaboration, and their work on the WORMVACS2.0 website.

Check out the video interview with the project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Cornelis Hokke, to learn about project goals and the consortium behind them.
