A 2-day workshop being held in association with the
‘Parasitic Helminths: New Perspectives in Biology and Infection’ Conference 2019
**OPEN INVITATION**
This is a FREE event open to all researchers working in the field of extracellular vesicles and/or helminthology. Places are limited however, so please apply by completing the downloadable registration form (link and instructions below).
Day 1: 14:30 – 18:00 Saturday 31 August 2019 continuing Day 2: 09:00 – 14:00 Sunday 01 September 2019
Location: Bratsera Hotel, Hydra, Greece
Exploring new research opportunities
Studies exploring how helminth extracellular vesicles (EVs) influence heterospecific (host) and conspecific relationships are increasing in number within our community. However, a lack of standardised methodologies, protocols and terminologies is hindering progress and preventing transformative breakthroughs. By bringing together EV experts and helminthologists for this workshop, we expect to thoroughly explore these topics and identify new research challenges/opportunities for the future.
Output
A standardised set of guidelines will be agreed upon for the helminth community studying EV biology. A Special Issue of helminth EV biology will also be developed for publication in IJP.
